The usable width doors on escape routes, according
to measure the potential persons (see
VKF-fire policy "escape and rescue routes").
The room with the greatest persons
determines the required width. The minimum usable
Width is 900 mm. Depending on the persons
the width is extended to a multiple of 600 mm
, that is 1200 mm, 1800 mm or 2400 mm.
For double-leaf doors, the leaf only have
escape properties if the pedestrian gate
the required effective width does not have.
width = 900 mm max. 50 people!
